How to import/export FDF files in Soda PDF

This article will explain how to import and export FDF files using Soda PDF.

 

Importing Form Data

The form fields in your document need to be empty in order to import form data.

  • In the Forms Module select Form Data.
  • Click the Import option to get the data of an existing FDF file.

  • A Browse window will open for you to find your file. Find your FDF file and then click on Open.

Your form will now be filled out with the appropriate data.

  • You can click on Reset to completely clear your form.

Exporting Form Data

Exporting form data will compile an FDF of the form fields that have data. It is important to make sure the form is filled out properly.

  • In the Forms Module select Form Data.
  • Click on the Export option.

  • A Browse window will open. Choose the name and the location for your FDF file and choose Save.
