Soda PDF Online is accessed through your web browser. The core of the application is hosted on our end, rather than being installed onto your computer.
This makes it difficult for us to bring all the functionality of Soda PDF Desktop to our web application. Certain features require direct access to the operating system of the computer, such as cutting/copying and pasting.
Soda PDF Online relies on the web browser to fill in the gaps created by not being installed on the system directly. However, there is certain functionality that simply cannot be replicated in an online environment.
At all times our development team is investigating ways to bridge the gap between the two applications to create a perfectly seamless experience. We will regularly be releasing enhancements to Soda PDF Online so as to make sure it remains a powerful PDF Solution.
