Some minor bugs while editing forms
Hi
I have just edited a PDF document with forms. I found some strange behaviour (bugs) which perhaps can be removed in the next releases.
- While I was editing a text form I used the tools which allow to precisely set the X/Y position. I noticed that if I entered the value for X or Y position the object was not placed in the expected place. Each time I had to click somewhere on the document and only after that the selected object (text frame) was changing the position to the one set using position tools.
- Another problem I noticed was with fonts. I was editing a document which was prepared in another editior. The document had text frames. They were formatted using normal fonts - I mean fonts without bold formatting etc. In the PDF Editor the fonts were visible as not bold (normal) and also the bold indicator was not active - but after saving the changes and opening the PDF document in a browser the fonts were displayed as bold ones. To remove the bold formatting I had to edit each text frame, mark the text (the formatting was seen as normal not bold), change the formatting to bold and then change back to normal. After this action the fonts in fact were displayed as normal - in the PDF Editor as well as in browsers etc.
- The last thing which surprised me. I defined a form field with date formatting. The date format was like 'dd-mm-yyyy'. In general the field controls the format but it does not control the date in fact. I can enter a strange date like '99-14-2011' etc.

Sorry,
I checked again and the date field works fine. I am not sure what happened when I was testing it. The date is validated and even it is possible to choose a date from a calendar form. It works fine.
