How to Disable Soda PDF's Add-ons

When you install Soda PDF Desktop, there are a few add-ons that are installed. We provide a quick conversion tool for your web browsers and Microsoft Office applications. We also provide a previewer for Windows and Microsoft Outlook.

We recommend saving any open files in Soda PDF. Soda PDF will prompt you to close the application should it be open during the removal process.

 

How to launch the Soda PDF Desktop Installation Manager:

From Start Menu

Windows 10 + 11: 

 

  • Click on the Start Menu.
  • Choose All Apps.
  • Find the Soda PDF Desktop.
  • Right-click on Soda PDF Desktop and choose Uninstall.

 
Windows 8:

 

Please refer to the Control Panel Uninstall section below.

Windows 7 + Vista:

 

  • Click on the Start Menu.
  • Choose All Programs.
  • Expand the Soda PDF folder.
  • Choose Uninstall or Modify Soda PDF.
  • The Soda PDF installation wizard will now open.

 

From Control Panel 

Windows 10+8:

 

  • Right-click on the Start Menu.
  • Choose the Control Panel option.
  • Choose Uninstall a Program from the Programs (category view) section or Programs and Features (icon view).

 

Windows 7+Vista:

 

  • Click to open the Start Menu.
  • Choose the Control Panel option from the right side.

Choose Uninstall a Program from the Programs (category view) section or Programs and Features (icon view).

The Soda PDF Desktop Installation Manager will now open.

 

  • Choose Modify.

Preview Plugins:

You can either disable the previewer entirely or you can pick and choose where it should remain active.

 

  • Expand Soda PDF Desktop 14 (Main Application).

Conversion Tools:

You can disable all the conversion tools, or decide the programs that should keep it.

  • Click on Next to continue.

The removal process will now start.


Soda PDF will proceed to adjust its configuration to match your new settings. You will see this window as it completes the task.

Click on the RUN SODA PDF button to complete the process. 

 

We have two additional modules. The OCR module allows you to recognize and edit text within any scanned document or image. We also have the E-Sign module that allows you to electronically sign PDFs and track and manage e-signatures in real-time.
