How to add shapes to my PDF file?

Soda PDF comes with shapes for you to use when annotating your document.

This article will cover the instructions for the following versions:

 

Soda PDF Desktop

  • Open the Comment tab.
  • The Shapes are divided into Lines and Shapes sections, click the arrow next to one of the categories and choose a shape from the dropdown menu.



Hold down your left mouse button to place your shape and then drag the cursor to adjust the size.

 

 

  • Switch to Edit Mode.
  • Select your shape.
  • You can change the color, opacity, and line style of your shape in the menu above.


 

You can also edit the properties of the shapes through the Properties panel.

  • Select a shape and click on the Properties icon.

The Properties panel will open on the right.

 

 

You can set default appearance properties for Shapes.

  • After you configure the properties, click the MAKE DEFAULT button.
  • The changes you made will be saved, and the next time you add a shape, it will maintain the previously chosen formatting.

 

 

  • To delete a shape, right-click on it while in Edit mode and select Delete.

 

 

Soda PDF Online

You can access Soda PDF Online here - https://tools.sodapdf.com/

  • Open the Edit tab.
  • Click the Shape tool.
  • Select the shape you want to add.

 

 

  • Click on the circle to choose the fill and outline color and opacity.

 

 

  • In the dropdown, you can set the line thickness of the shape.

 

 

Hold down your left mouse button to place your shape and then drag the cursor to adjust the size.

 

 

  • You can resize it by dragging the corners of the blue box.
  • You can move it by dragging it around the page.
  • Click on the bin icon to delete the shape.
