How to add text to a document?

With Soda PDF you can add new text to your PDFs or edit what’s already on the page.

This article will cover the instructions for the following versions:

 

Soda PDF Desktop

If you want to be able to type text on your PDF page, you'll need to first create a new text box. There are 3 ways to go about this.

  • Click into Edit Mode.
  • Then double-click on an empty part of your document.

 

 

Or

  • Open the Edit Module.
  • Select the Add Text option.
  • Click to place a text box on a page.

 

 

Or

  • Switch to Edit mode.
  • Right-click anywhere on the document and choose the Add Text option in the context menu.

 

 

You'll see a new empty text box on the page. You can start typing and the text will appear in the box.

Soda PDF Online

You can access Soda PDF Online here - https://tools.sodapdf.com/

  • Open the Edit tab.
  • Click the Text tool.
  • Click to place a text box on a page.

 

 

You'll see a new empty text box on the page.

  • You can select the font size and color, and bold/italics from the menu.

 

 

  • You can start typing and the text will appear in the box.

 

 

  • Switch to Select mode and click on your text box.

 

 

  • Highlight the text you want to modify and choose the option from the menu.

 

 

  • Click on the bin icon to delete the text box.
