The Review module contains all of our annotation tools.
This article will explain the general purpose of each feature. We have linked relevant articles in order to provide you with more details on individual features.
Highlight:
This tool will allow you to highlight text and add your own personalized comments to those highlights. Click here to get more information about highlighting text.
Underline:
This tool will allow you to underline text in your document and add your own personalized comments to the underlined words. Click here to get more information about underlining text.
Strikethrough:
This tool provides you with the ability to strikethrough any text and add your own personalized comments to those strikethroughs. Click here to learn more about strikethrough.
Sticker notes:
A sticker note is a digital note you can add to your document. This is a digitalized version of the familiar sticker notes. Click here to learn more about Sticker Notes.
Stamps:
Stamps are a digital version of rubberized stamps. Click here for an article describing the Stamp tool.
Pencil:
Click the Pencil option. Then choose your color. In the dropdown under Line Width you can set the thickness of the pencil.
Once you've chosen the color, your mouse icon will update to a pencil. Hold down the left mouse button and drag your cursor. You'll see the pen marking appear and you can release your mouse button to place it.
Shapes:
Soda PDF comes with shapes for you to use when annotating your document. Click on the Shapes option and choose your shape from the dropdown menu that appears.
To place your shape, hold down your left mouse button and then drag the cursor to adjust the size. You can always reposition and resize a shape by selecting it while in Edit Mode and then choosing the wrench icon on the right to open the properties. Click on any of the pencil icons to change the property it is associated with.
Compare Documents
You can use this tool to open up two documents next to each other. Click here to learn more about comparing documents.
Whiteout
The Whiteout tool serves as a virtual whiteout feature. Click here to learn more about the Whiteout tool.
Printing Annotations.
The features in the Review module are defaulted to be printed. You have the option to choose whether or not your annotations will be printed with the rest of the document elements.
Click on the printer icon to open the print setup window.
Use the Print Options dropdown in the Print menu to decide if they should be printed.
