Deploy Soda PDF via Microsoft Intune

  1. At the Microsoft Intune home screen, select Apps, followed by the Windows buttons.

  1. Select Create to start the deployment process for the application.

  1. Inside the Select app type pop-up, select Line-of-business-app from the drop-down, followed by Select.

  1. In the Add app window, click on the Select app package file and browse for the Windows Installer Package file (.msi) and hit OK.

There are 4 installer packages that we ship inside the zip file we distribute here.

Please note that you need to deploy the Startup module first. Once installed, you can select any of the other modules, and the order of installation does not matter.

  1. In the App information dialog most information will be auto-populated. You will need to make sure the Publisher field is not empty. You should enter Avanquest Software if the field is not filled in automatically. In the Command-line arguments field enter /quiet to make sure the installation runs silently without notifications. For a list of the other possible installation parameters (command-line arguments), see the table below. Once finished, select Next.

Enjoy Soda PDF and thank you for choosing Avanquest Software!

Please note that it may take some time for the application to be available at the destination machine(s). Microsoft states that it could take up to three hours for an application to show in the Intune Company Portal application. This application is available at the Windows Store.

Tip: Some tests have shown that a manual sync needs to be performed at the destination machine(s) for the software to be picked up from the Intune cloud. This can be achieved via the Company Portal application.

Once Company Portal is installed on a destination machine, go to Downloads & updates to see if  Soda PDF has been installed. If it isn’t, go to Settings and select Sync to trigger a manual sync with the Intune cloud.
