How to convert from HTML to PDF

Soda PDF Desktop installs a virtual printer on your computer when everything is configured. This is the tool that is used when Soda PDF creates files. The easiest way to convert from HTML to PDF is to print using the Soda PDF printer.

Soda PDF Online does not install onto your system and does not provide a printer. The process defined below only works when the desktop application is installed. Click here for an alternate method.

The instructions will be the same no matter which web browser you are using. For this example, Google Chrome was used.

Make sure the webpage you would like to convert is the active tab. Click on the gear icon in the top right corner to access the print window.

All web browsers will access the print window by holding down the CTRL key and pressing the letter P.

When the Print window is open, make sure to choose Soda PDF as your printer. When you click on Print the page will be converted to PDF instead of being printed.

Browse Window will open up asking you to name your file and choose its location on your computer.

Your newly converted PDF will open in Soda PDF when ready.

We have two additional modules. The OCR module allows you to recognize and edit text within any scanned document or image. We also have the E-Sign module that allows you to electronically sign PDFs and track and manage e-signatures in real-time. If those modules are not available for you, you can purchase them here.
